Truly Life-Changing
"This course was truly life-changing. Jamie and Robert are genuine experts in this space – on every level. The material goes deep, covering both core concepts and hands-on practice in a way that feels grounded, expansive, and intentional. The practice sessions on bowl and gong playing are especially powerful, guiding you from the fundamentals all the way to confidently assembling and leading a full sound bath. The course is challenging in the best possible way – it asks you to show up, refine your skills and develop real presence as a practitioner. Beyond the content, Jamie and Robert are great people – generous with their knowledge, always available for questions, and bringing a great sense of humor shaped by decades of running sound baths in Southern California. If you’re wanting to build a sound bath practice or simply learn for your own knowledge, I couldn’t recommend this course more highly.

Learn how to play responsibly
"When I signed up for the class I was not sure of what to expect. I was nervous. I have had several sound baths during breathwork sessions that just left me feeling a void and empty versus what I was trying to get from them which was a feeling of completeness. As a facilitator myself I thought that I could get a nervous system reset where I could get up and feel like a million dollars. Which is why I felt I needed to take this class. I wanted to learn what makes a great sound bath! I was curious as to how the gong could actually soothe me versus make my nervous system want to collapse and how to incorporate it with the crystal bowls. Well, with theory and applied techniques I learned a lot more than what it takes to make a great sound bath. I learned the ethical way of playing, the science behind it...how to be responsible when playing. Altogether this is one of those few classes that I get to be a part of where I feel complete. Where I feel like the facilitators and I are on the same wavelength and can appreciate the huge responsibility we take on when working with and for others well being. I think this is the 101 class that any Sound Bath Therapist should be taking in order to learn how to play responsibly not just for the community but for ourselves. Our own self care. Jamie and Robert, thank you for your dedication and for what you do for the community especially when there are no real Rules of Engagement. You are creating this with your sense of responsibility and your ethics. If my practice continues to grow as I incorporate the sound bath techniques I learned with you both, I am definitely coming back for private sessions!!

Empowering and easy to follow
"I want to start off by saying Jamie and Robert are truly amazing teachers with such warm and welcoming energy. When I began, I only had basic knowledge of crystal singing bowls from what I’d seen online and no experience with the gong. Through their certification, I learned how to confidently play the gong, care for my bowls, refine my technique, learn new playing techniques, and combine instruments with intention. The teaching style breaks everything down into clear steps that make the learning process empowering and easy to follow. Beyond the technical skills, this experience helped me grow so much as a person. As I began facilitating sound baths, my confidence expanded — not just in my playing, but in my voice, my presence, and my ability to speak and connect with groups. The feedback from participants was incredibly affirming. Almost everyone shared that they felt calmer, less stressed, and more grounded after a session, and several even reported a noticeable reduction in physical pain in their back or shoulders. Seeing these responses confirmed just how powerful sound is and how effective Jamie and Robert’s guidance and teachings have been. If you genuinely love sound and want to go deeper, their certification is absolutely for you. It will grow you, stretch you, and challenge you in the best ways, both as a practitioner and as a person.

Up to date in their approach
"I have been studying sound for many years and have attended countless programs and trainings around the world. I can honestly say that the Group Soundbath Player Certification Course is the most efficient, effective, and impactful experience I’ve had. It has made me a stronger and more confident sound facilitator, and has elevated both my skill and my understanding of the work. I highly recommend this training to anyone who is truly serious about sound baths, therapeutic applications of sound and committed to learning accurate, high-quality information. Jamie and Robert are kind and authentic human beings as well as deeply knowledgeable, and consistently up to date in their approach.

Gained so much
"Jamie and Robert live their teachings: they aren't just articulate and engaging educators on their subject matter, it's also illuminating to be in sound spaces with them. They model a rigor and integrity about the craft, the tools, and the relationship with clients that is welcome in an industry that can be fuzzy. In casual conversation and in lessons they are warm and often funny, but also filled with specificity and a drive to excellence. I gained so much from their course!

Highly recommend
"I’ve also taken many of the trainings and other classes offered by Robert and Jamie and I find true joy and expression learning how to play gongs and bowls. I highly recommend taking trainings if you want to learn how to facilitate sound baths or just deepen your own personal understanding! Their philosophy is true to the instrument and their proprietary techniques will help achieve sound you never thought you could create!!

Extremely comprehensive
"I can't speak highly enough of the Group Soundbath Player Certification course with Jamie and Robert. They truly care about the art form and the benefits it has when presented and played correctly for those seeking a therapeutic experience. I started as a participant coming to their soundbath events. I had experienced many sound baths in the past but never like theirs. I started by attending often and bringing friends with me. There was something different in the way that their sound baths felt incredibly magical, transformative, and dynamic... It was substantial and beautiful. The way that Jamie and Robert respect and play the instruments - they are true facilitators of this therapeutic sound and vibration. When I learned they were launching a certification course, I felt it was in perfect timing and an opportunity that I wanted to embrace. The certification program takes 6 months to a year to complete. It is extremely comprehensive from music theory, to technique , to starting your own business. It requires both studying reading material and practicing. I couldn't have been more engrossed in it. I loved what I was doing, I loved how much I was learning, and I could see how I was developing and growing more confident along the way. As much as you may naturally lean towards a course less time consuming, I would give the advice to not go the easy route if you have an opportunity like this. Jamie and Robert put a ton of time, energy, and work into creating this certification course so that those who do follow through, truly can offer a valuable service and have a strong foundation of knowledge and skill. Jamie and Robert were always available to answer questions or provide guidance along the way. By the end of the certification course, there is a sense of pride that you really did earn the Certified Soundbath Player title and that you really do have a special gift to offer.

Truly develop your skills
"I spent months hunting for soundbath training that wasn't either impossible to access or drowning in mystical language I couldn't connect with. When I found Jamie and Robert's Group Soundbath Player™ Certification Course, I finally felt like I'd found what I was looking for: a program that treats the soundbath as a legitimate skill you can actually learn and master. No chakras. No vague energy talk. Just real, practical technique on how to play and combine instruments with intention and skill. As someone who came in as a complete beginner - someone who'd always dreamed of playing an instrument but never had - this approach was everything. The practice structure is brilliant. Every skill comes with multiple prompts that build progressively, giving you room to truly develop your abilities. I practiced about 3 times a week and got to experience that incredible feeling of watching myself get better at each small task. The platform makes it easy to track where you are, and the information is delivered in accessible, digestible chunks that kept me motivated. But here's the game-changer: the course requires you to complete 10 public soundbaths with at least 5 participants each. When I started, I thought maybe I'd offer some free sessions to friends. This requirement pushed me out into the world - and everything shifted. I now have two standing monthly gigs, and I've been invited to play at retreats and for nonprofits. The course didn't just teach me to play; it taught me to be a soundbath practitioner in the real world. The instrument credit they offer is genuinely valuable - their instruments are quality, and Jamie and Robert's reputation in the community is solid. (They've toured the German facilities where artisan gongs are made over weeks by master craftspeople, and even helped Schlagwerk name their rain towers!) Mentioning The Soundbath Center has opened doors I didn't even know existed, and even helped me make new pals in my local corner of the soundbath world. The course took me about a year to complete - partly because those beautiful German gongs take 3+ months to arrive, and partly because I wanted to savor the learning process. Last month, while loading my instruments into a cab, the driver said, "Oh, the musician's life!" I laughed and said I wasn't a professional. He looked at me and said, "So you're a working musician?" And just like that, I realized: Yes. I am. This course will meet you where you are and take you somewhere you might not have imagined possible. If you're ready to actually learn this craft - not just dabble, but truly develop your skills and step into offering soundbaths - this is it.
